Description
Built in 2009 by RBDR P. L. L. C. of Waco Texas, the Emergency Services Education Center (ESEC) serves all fire, law enforcement and EMS professionals in McLennan County. Located apart from the main campus on Steinbeck Bend Road (near the Waco Regional Airport), the building also houses MCC’s criminal justice, forensic science, and emergency medical services programs, as well as the law enforcement and fire academies. It includes 10 smart classrooms equipped with an instructor podium/cart set with a computer and audiovisual equipment, as well as EMS and forensic science labs, faculty offices, conference/library room, computer lab, student commons area, six-story burn tower, l weight room and take-down/exercise room. It attained the "Platinum" status in its LEED certification for environmentally-conscious construction.
